In 2022, Lisa combined her passion for theatre and film into the fusion piece \u201cSVITEN\u201d,<\/em><\/strong> a theatre play where the performers interacted with media excerpts such as narrative film, security cameras and social media as a way of unravelling the mystery of what happened the night a young woman died. <\/gwmw><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Suite” was based on a popular radiodrama, 8 x 30 minute police interrogations surrounding the death of a 17-year old girl at a party with four very wealthy men from the Stockholm bourgoise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The piece focuses on economic and sexual power, peer pressure, crossed boundaries, and exploitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2012 Lisa Ohlin directed the Swedish version for Stockholms leading theatre, Stadsteatern, with singer Lisa Nilsson in her stage debut. It was a smash hit, with rave reviews and sold out houses each night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next to Normal is the groundbreaking Broadway musical about a family struggling to cope with the mother’s bipolar disease. It won the Pulitzer Prize, three Tony Awards and was hailed by critics as well as audience. It started off-Broadway in New York in 2008, was raised on Broadway in 2009 and was a spectacular success.<\/gwmw><\/p>\n\n\n\n
